Earrings are made with clay and baked. The clay has to be conditioned to get it pliable to the desired work consistency. It's fun to work with and there are many choices of additives you can incorporate. Designs are endless. Once baked, the pieces go through other processes such as sanding to get the edges smooth, and you can add polishers or other agents to give a beautiful shine to really bring out the beauty in your pieces. You just have to let your imagine run wild.

Coasters range in size from as small as 2 1/2 inches in diameter to as much as 5 inches. They are made from resin and very unique in that you'll hardly ever get 2 pieces exactly the same. While resin is curing it tends to ‘dance to it's own beat’. Working with resin is a very intricate process. The curing time can take as much as 24 hours for 1 stage before you can move on to the next depending on what you are doing. It's a joy to see the magic that unfolds before your eyes as every piece comes to life.

The flower piece was done using acrylic. A straw blowing process was used to give shape to the petals. The leaves are real so as to give it a more realistic look. Then the petals were given a free hand outline in gold and embellishments were added to the middle of the flower to give it a bit of dazzle!

The Aurora painting was done in acrylic. It depicts a rocky mountain across the ocean night sky with the burst of the mesmerizing Aurora Borealis above on a beautiful moonlit night!
