1. What is your artistic background and training?

As a child, I always had artistic inclinations, but it was during my time in secondary school that I truly developed a love for art and craft. In my younger years, I didn't often utilize this innate talent. However, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, my passion for art was reignited. In 2021, I took a short course in Art, Painting, and Drawing at the University of the West Indies, Open Campus. Additionally, in 2022, I enrolled in an 8-week program called Advanced Art 11, led by Mr. Keith Ward.

2. What mediums do you usually use?

I enjoyed working with acrylics but have a deep love for watercolor and ink pen.

3. Describe your creative environment?

My favorite creative environment involves playing Taylor Swift's playlist and finding a comfortable space with minimal distractions.

4. How have your art evolved over time?

When I was young, I enjoyed drawing and sketching with color pencils and markers. However, I stopped creating art after secondary school. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I rediscovered my passion for art and experimented with various mediums like Posca markers, watercolor pencils, pastel chalks, and graphite pencils. I particularly enjoy using palette knives to add texture to my artwork, and I have been working on increasingly larger canvases. Additionally, I am intrigued by mixed media art and look forward to delving deeper into this creative realm in the future.

5. What advice do you have for aspiring artist?

I would advise a budding artist to focus on creating, practicing, and researching without getting too caught up in comparing themselves to other artists.

6. What keeps me motivated to purse your artistry?

The love and joy that others show when I create something for them, inspires me to continue pursuing my artistic endeavors.

7. What inspires you artwork?

I find inspiration in everything around me. There is art in everything.

8. How would I describe your artistic style?

Fun, vibrant, creative and lively. I delight in painting my surroundings and objects. I have a fondness for both pop art and abstract art styles.
